Summer Fun

School will be out soon and what can you do around Mooresville for fun? There is plenty to do around town. The library is full of summer reading programs and even has some stuff thrown in there for adults, too. The city pool always provides a welcome break from a hard day at work. Don't forget to visit the farmers market for fresh flowers and produce.

Indy is only 30 minutes away and you can find plenty of things to do there as well. Go for a walk on the canal. Check out some of the state parks in the area. Go canoeing at Turkey Run, enjoy the trails at McCormick's Creek and don't forget the Pioneer Village at Spring Mill.

You might take one day a week and volunteer with your kids. There are several opportunities at the local nursing homes, humane society, food pantries, etc.

Enjoy your summer. It never lasts long enough.
